ESMA ESEF - tackling new reporting regime


 

As of 2020, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) introduced the requirement for a European Single Electronic Format (the ESEF) obliging the market issuers (on EU regulated markets) to use a single digital standard the Inline XBRL (iXBRL) format for preparing their IFRS consolidated financial reports.
Inline XBRL allows issuers to embed XBRL data directly into a HTML document and thanks to that ESEF reports can be viewed with usage of any web browser.
To comply with the ESMA requirements and ensuring compliance we have developed number of products for ESEF – API and components enabling institutions to build ESEF solutions.

ESEF Components are powered by XWand Runtime Processing Engine – officially certified by XBRL International.
