ESMA ESEF - auditing Inline XBRL reports


 

As of 2020, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) introduced the requirement for a European Single Electronic Format (the ESEF) obliging the market issuers (on EU regulated markets) to use a single digital standard the Inline XBRL (iXBRL) format for preparing their IFRS consolidated financial reports.
Inline XBRL allows issuers to embed XBRL data directly into a HTML document and thanks to that ESEF reports can be viewed with usage of any web browser.

To comply with the ESMA requirements and suporting consulting companies and auditors in the process of reviewing and verifying Inline XBRL reports we have prepared Inline Viewer.

The Inline Viewer part of XWand Toolkit has been officially certified by XBRL International.

Auditing ESEF Inline XBRL reports
Interstage XWand is equipped with several tools to assist the auditors in assessment of the XBRL documents, including iXBRL of your clients. The most commonly used tool for the auditor would be the XWand Viewer and the Formula Editor. These tools will help to serve the following needs:
