3D Visualization in VR
Dipro XPhere

VR Fujitsu Technology delivered by Digital Manufacturing tool – Dipro XPhere, helps users to overcome their most complex manufacturing and operational challenges by automating complex manual processes and takes tem to the different level of manufacturing

VR software solution for the manufacturing industry
Fujitsu Virtual Reality System DIPRO Xphere, VR software solution for the manufacturing industry, enables design review, assembly/ maintenance verification, training and verifies workability related to human in VR Space.
Xphere connects to a VR head – mounted display to assist manufacturers in evaluating the workability of product assembly and maintenance. It verifies CAD data, including FJICAD SX, FJVPS MFG, and FJGP4D, in a virtual environment to identify potential issues, offering intuitive operation and fast response times.
At the manufacturing site, assembly and maintenance of the product may cause problems such as inability to carry assembly parts, unreasonable working posture, inability of workers`hands and tools to enter the product, and inability to see tighetening points. Xphere examines the workability related to human in VR space. By experiencing it with the same feeling as the real machine, it realizes early establishment of product quality, shortening of development lead time and cost reduction.

Benefits
High response
Processing large-scale products in 3D
Seamless import of 3D data
Streamlined VR validation
Eliminated the intermediate data formats
Fast and comfortable experience

Capabilities
Fast response without VR sickness even when viewing large produsts
It is said that the number of parts in a product is 100,000 for cars and 1 million for airplanes. Xphere uses DVX technology to achieve high‑speed, stress‑free, high‑response display performance even for the full assembly data of a single automobile. This makes it possible to smoothly follow the operator’s body movements and perform verification that is closer to reality and free from VR sickness.

Study of assembling parts in VR space
The existing 3D validation tools were not able to pre-detect problems in the actual assembly site, such as “The mounting point cannot be seen due to the shadow of the assembled parts”.
With DIPRO Xphere, you can move parts in VR space without any special setting. In addition, parts can be moved in the actual assembly order and assembly unit from assembly configuration and operation information, and verification can be performed in a position close to actual work, so that problems can be detected before assembly.
Import CAD data directly
Our proprietary CAD data conversion technology allows you to import data in a variety of formats directly into VR space. This eliminates the need to create and then import intermediate data, allowing for timely VR verification, as well as reading design intent such as assembly components and part attributes for further consideration.
Key Features

Move parts, interference, contact check
-
Parts can be mounted and removed by gripping and moving parts in VR space. Things can be moved along an axis as well as in any direction, so for example the unit can be pulled straight out or push the trolley along the floor. It is also possible to define assembly units to move parts as assembly parts.
-
The controller vibrated to notify of any interference between the moving part and its peripheral parts. It is also possible to stop a part in place when a moving part
-

Hand Capture
- You can express your finger movements in the VR space, and you can also grip parts.
- It is possible to check the movement of the hand and the tactile feeling at the fingertips in narrow spaces, such as whether the finger can reach a switch or whether parts can be pinched and inserted.
When using the Hand Capture function, you cannot operate the controller.

Share Desktop Screen
- In the VR space, it is possible to view and interact with the desktop screen.
- While displaying work orders such as PDFs, Excel files, and animations such as VPS MFG, you can verify the assembly in the VR space before the actual equipment is implemented. Additionally, by viewing a meeting, such as a Teams session, you can join the meeting while validating the assembly in the VR space.

Moving horizontally and vertically in VR space
Changes the standing position in VR space. It can be moved instantaneously to the place where the user want to see a large plant or a large-scale facility, and can be moved in the direction of heigh, so it is possible to study workability at heigh places and from different hights

Registering location in VR space
Any location can be registered. The registered locations are listed and the user can select them by moving to them.

Display the standing position
Displays the standing position in VR space. The position can be grasped by displaying standing mark on the feet.

Voice mark function
It is possible to mark the points that arised during verification and record voice comments.
Pointed out items or issues can be easily shared in VR space with other team members.

Confirming assembly sequence
Assembly sequence can be checked in VR space by importing it to Xphere. Assembly sequence and parts display are linked and the part posision can be confirmed in the real scale. Enables assembly order from the operator`s perspective.

Measurment of dimensions and distance
Measutes the distance between two points. Select the start and end points VP space.

User registered tools
- Displays the user’s pre-registered geometry as a tool. It can verify whether or not the tool is inserted.
- The hand can be displayed in VR space by registering the hand shape in the user tool. You can check the size and movemant of your hands and also check the interference between your hands and peripheral parts.

Display of part attributes
Display the attribute information that has been set in the imported data of the selected part. For example, if you set the material name, part number and weight of a part, you can check the weight of the part in the VR space and use it as a reference for assembly work.
